　　The implied meaning of the table above can be briefly stated as follows. To begin with, the Opening-up and Reform has brought about fruitful achievements. It is well-known that the Opening-up and Reform has greatly improved the growth of our national economy, which has laid a solid foundation for the development of science and technology including aeronautics and astronautics. What’s more, Chinese science and technology have achieved the advanced world level. The construction and launch of space vehicle depend on the technical support from such disciplines as materials science, biology, communications, meteorology and astronomy. The successful launch of Shen-zhou Ⅵ has proved that the comprehensive capability of Chinese science and technology are of world class. In sum, the successful launch of Shen-zhou represents the feat of Opening-up and Reform and the rapid development of our science and technology.

　　In my view, the prospect of China is bound to be more promising. On the one hand, our government will place more stress on the development of science and technology. On the other hand, the growth of science and technology will contribute to the improvement of our life, study, and work. Therefore, we have good reasons to embrace a harmonious and well-off society with open arms.

　　The implied meaning of the chart above can be briefly stated as follows. On the one hand, university students are encountering more psychological problems than ever before. The fact can be attributed to many factors. Most university students are overloaded with study and haunted by employment pressure. As young and inexperienced people, they are also facing emotional dilemma and trial of human interrelationship. Besides, some students are in a financial predicament. On the other hand, necessary psychological work for university student is a must for the time being. It is quite shocking that at least forty percent of university students suffer from spiritual depression. The very fact should not be neglected. Effective countermeasures must be taken to reverse the current grim situation. In sum, the psychological problems should be put on our agenda.

　　In my view, great efforts must be made so as to ensure the healthy growth of university students. To begin with, we must have a good understanding the necessity of psychological instruction and guidance among university students. In terms of our clothing, food, sheltering, and transport, much work can be done to save valuable energy and natural resources such as power, water, coal, gas and so on. We, as university students, should take the wise use of paper and second-hand textbooks into consideration. What’s more, the public participation is the foundation of a society in which to practise economy is advocated and treasured. Since social environment is shaped by the general public, the cultivation of economy-practising society depends on the active involvement of every member of our society, be he old or young. 　　The implied meaning of the pie charts is both disappointing and exciting. On the one hand, much necessary work still needs to be done with respect to environmental protection. The public ignorance of relevant environmental protection results from inadequate and limited popularity of environmental protection knowledge by relevant government departments at different levels. Since environmental protection is an international issue, we must constantly introduce the advanced and practical practice in other countries to our general public. Only in this way can we promote environmental protection in China. On the other hand, the enhancement of the public awareness of environmental protection is a welcome development. Over the past years, as people’s living standard improves, people attach more importance to the quality of their life. They have a better understanding of the relationship between environment and their daily life. As a result, they are more interested in following positive international models. In sum, we have got a mixed feeling toward the very fact revealed in the pie charts.

The national laws and regulations concerning eight-hour working limit are often disobeyed by most employers, which transgresses workers’ deserved rights. In the second place, to overwork constantly does harm to people’s health and psychology. Over the past years, many intellectuals and artists including Gao Xue-ming and Fu Biao die young due to heavy workload and the resulting stress.
